Shout outs

Just wanted to mention a few people on here -

First off a big CONGRATS to my beautiful Girlfriend Telly-lou for her being head hunted for a top position at a big posh hotel - YAY YOU!!!! I'm so glad she gets to leave the absolutely unprofessional shit hole she currently works in. I have many Rants about her workplace but I'm keeping my mouth shut, for the time being anyway. She's certainly better getting out of there, and regardless what certain people have said to her (mentioning no names) this particular hotel is one of the best around here and in another world to the place she's about to leave. Oh, and it has a ROTA!!!!!
I'm very proud of my Baby and I'm taking her out tomorrow night.

Next - I wanna say a big HI to my friend Ebs from the Immortal Realm (a forum I really should visit more often! I'll get a drawing done for you ASAP sweetie! I'll stick a link for the realm in my linkies on the right when I get a chance.
As we're on the subject of the realm - Hi Maz! She's my little angel upstairs who lets me rant at her when I get dragonafied. I also go to her for her constructive opinions on my work, which is very much appreciated.

Umm, what next.. Finally spoke to Feenix (a guy who works at the same place as Scampiart and Apathy, who also has a blog which I really should link too...) last night on the phone while speaking to Craig, so nice to talk to you mate!

That'll do for the time being...

Challange 1

Hi

Well, the entries are in for our little sketch competition thing (we have to come up with a name for these - Draw-off? Sketch-off? Scribble-off?). I've had Kind permission from Sarah and Craig (Scampiart and Apathy respectively) to post their entries up on here for easy viewing, sooo -

This is Sarah's interpretation of (a Badass) Dangermouse and his sidekick penfold,

And this is Craig's re-design of Superted, in which Spotty the Crazed Alien uses his Mind Controlling powers to command Grizzlies to do his evil Bidding (What were you smoking mate????)

You've all seen my attempt, (If not just scroll down a little and you'll see it...) So I won't re-post it.

I'll post the details of the next brief in a bit...

Moe, moe, moe, moe...

Hi!
Not updated for a while, so thought I'd put a random post on here...
Nothing much different really, Back from my Holiday a week ago (which went too bloody fast, add the fact we had to come back a day early - long story). Work is quite quiet at the moment due to My main source of work here in the building being on her honeymoon..

Sidenote - Do I say "At the Moment" too much? Leanne thinks so, to the degree that she's started calling me 'Moe'...

I've been told I may finally get my car today! It was supposed to get here last Tuesday, then Wednesday, then Thursday etc, So I won't believe it till its here in the car park.

The deadline of or sketching comp thing has been delayed till next week I think, so nothing to update there.

All in all quite a boring post! Told you there was nothing going on didn't I!

Zoomer

Hey!
It's time to submit my entry for this competition thing going on between Myself, Apathy in the UK and Scampiart. Scampiart has her entry up (See linkie on the right) and we're still waiting for Apathy's image, although He has just moved house so not surprising...

Ok, so I had a go at re-designing this little character - . For those not familiar with Chorlton and the Wheelies, here's a brief description I found on the web -

Chorlton hatched out of an egg one day in Wheelie World, and freed the Wheelies from Fenella's sadness spell. Despite the fact that they found him odd-looking, the Wheelies wanted to adopt their new-found saviour, but he didn't know where he came from or even what his name was. Then someone happened to notice that the words "Made in Chorlton-Cum-Hardy" were written on his egg, so they named him Chorlton. He drives Fenella crazy by totally missing the point of her evil schemes, and refusing to take her at all seriously. But although Chorlton's not too bright and rather clumsy, his heart's in the right place.

Now I hadn't actually Heard of Chorlton and the Wheelies before Marcus set the competition, but I looked into and and found the wheelies where cool little People with Wheels... Sounded good to me... Zoomer, the "Fastest Wheelie in the world" wears a cool little pair of second world war Flying Goggles, so I had a crack at him, and came up with -

(Click for a bigger version)

I wanted to make him an old timer, mainly because of the flying goggles. I know Zoomer in the original was a young-un, but this is my spin on him...

Comments are welcome.

Busy busy busy...

Hi
Not posted much on here recently, so thought I'd do a quick update...
Works the same, all plodding along nicely, although I was off for two days last week with a bad neck. It's amazing how much hassle and stress you can cause when you have a day off sick - I didn't realise I was appreciated that much! Oh hang on, thats right, I'm not....

Wig is moving down to Bath this weekend, so we're having a good-bye drink, so thats gonna be sad, although it's not like we're not going to see him for a while - we're going on holiday a week later!

A while ago Wig (from Apathy in the Uk - see left for link) and I used to do little sketching competitions judged by our fair Mr Beard. We've recently decided to start them up again, only time we're doing a three way (?) with Sarah (from Scampiart - see left for link). Never met her before but I've seen her work and I know I'm gonna have to pull something a bit special out of the bag even to compete with her and wig... Game on! Here is the brief -

"Right you want something to do a modern, adult, cutting edge concept on. Well
here is a selection of Childrens programmes we all know and love, choose a
character (or two) and off you go. Here's the list, you may not like it,
but I don't care. :)

Count Duckula
Dangermouse
Chorlton and the Wheelies
Trap Door
SuperTed

As for time I'm sure 4 weeks should be enough to see something produce, if
you disagree let me know and I'll laugh at you. Now get to it, your lucky I
didn't stick in Worzel Gummidge."

Really have to get cracking on it...

Its been really quiet the last week or so, quite dull really. Quite looking forward to the next few weeks though... Next Monday is a Bank Holiday, followed by Pay Day on the Thursday, followed by our Holiday the following Friday, followed by my Brand spanking new car being delivered the following Tuesday! Yay! It's not even been built yet!!!!

Sooo slow

Its going really slowly today. I haven't got that much work on, so that could be a reason. It's also dead quiet here today too. I also have a craving for Peanut M&M's...

Thought I'd post an old drawing I did a while ago.
